P2,000 financial assistance for teachers who will buy teaching materials and supplies such as chalk, board markers, stapler, paper clips, colored pens and pencils, notebook or sketchpad, scissors, and even tissue. The proposed financial assistance is also called Teacher’s Monthly Allowance (TMA). According to DepEd Undersecretary Annalyn Sevilla,"About 80 percent of teachers buy their own teaching supplies."
