Assessment is the process of measuring learners’ progress in the attainment of learning standards and 21st century skills. The results of the various forms of assessment shall be used to quantify judgments on learners’ academic performance.

Objectives of National Achievement Test

The National Achievement Test (NAT) for Grade 6 aims to:

1. Monitor the Philippine education system and schools for public accountability;
2. Assess the effectiveness and efficiency of the delivery of education services using learning outcomes as indicators;
3. Provide information that will guide decisions on instructional practices;
4. Determine if learners are meeting the learning standards of the curriculum
5. Measure students aptitude and occupational interest for career guidance; and
6. Assess prior learning for placement, accreditation and equivalency.

NAT Grade 6 Competencies Students Need To Develop

The National Achievement Test or NAT in short is a standardized test given to elementary and high school students in the Philippines. The test is aimed to assess students achievement in the different subject areas and their teachers effectiveness.

Teachers face the dilemma as to what reviewer they have to provide their students. But there's nothing to worry about if they only know the competencies to master. So, on this post, I would like to share the competencies in Filipino, Mathematics, English, Science, and Araling Panlipunan/HEKASI with all the teachers who want to get a higher MPS or Mean Percentage Score.

Filipino Competencies

• Nagagamit sa pangungusap ang panghalip, pang-uri, pangdiwa, pang-abay, pangatnig, at pang-akop.
• Nagagamit ang uri ng pangungusap ayon sa gamit.
• Natutukoy ang kahulugan ng salita (kasingkahulugan at kasalungat).
