#WALANG PASOK! APRIL 5 IS HEREBY SUSPENDED FROM 12:00 O'CLOCK IN THE AFTERNOON ONWARDS

On April 5, Holy Wednesday, many offices and businesses will have adjusted schedules in observance of the Holy Week. The schedule changes were announced by the Office of the President through Memorandum Circular #16.

According to the memorandum circular, all government offices and agencies will be closed on April 5, Holy Wednesday from 12:00 o'clock in the afternoon onwards. This means that government employees will have a day off and will resume on April 11, 2023.

Private businesses, on the other hand, have the discretion to adjust their schedules depending on their operational needs. However, the memorandum circular encourages private employers to give their employees time off on Holy Wednesday to observe the occasion.

The Holy Week is an important time for many Filipinos, particularly for the Catholic community. It is a time for reflection, repentance, and spiritual renewal. Holy Wednesday, in particular, is a day for contemplation and meditation on the events that led up to Jesus Christ's crucifixion.

The announcement of the adjusted schedule for Holy Wednesday is a reminder to all that this occasion should be observed with reverence and respect. It is also an opportunity for all to take a break from the usual routine and spend time with family, friends, and loved ones.

In addition to the adjusted schedule, the Office of the President also reminds everyone to follow health protocols, especially during the Holy Week. This includes wearing face masks and face shields, observing physical distancing, and avoiding large gatherings.
